inauguration of the new campus of the National Institute of Watersports heralds
a new era in promoting aquatic activities and water rescue operations. With a
focus on offering tailored courses, including those designed for both public
engagement and armed forces training, the institute is set to play a pivotal
role in nurturing talent and advancing maritime safety.
Furthermore, the
unveiling of the 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa
marks a significant stride in sustainable development. Designed for the
scientific treatment of both wet and dry waste, coupled with the installation
of a solar power plant generating surplus electricity, this facility epitomizes
the government's commitment to environmental stewardship and clean energy
initiatives.
The laying of the
foundation stone for the Passenger Ropeway, along with associated tourism
activities connecting Panaji and Reis Magos, underscores efforts to bolster
infrastructure and enhance connectivity, thereby stimulating tourism and
economic growth in the region.
Moreover, the
initiation of the construction of a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa
reflects the government's proactive measures to address pressing water
management challenges, ensuring access to clean and potable water for the
populace.
In his address, Prime
Minister Modi lauded Goa’s social diversity and harmony, highlighting it as a
shining example of unity in diversity. He emphasized the significance of
inclusivity and development for all, encapsulating the BJP's ethos of ‘Sabka
Saath, Sabka Vikas.’
Furthermore, he
commended Goa’s exemplary performance in implementing various central
government schemes, attaining 100 percent saturation in many instances.
