ISRO's Upcoming Projects: What's on the Launchpad?"

The historic question “Upar se Bharat Dikhta Kaisa Hai?” and its poetic answer my legendary Indian military pilot and cosmonaut got its poetic answer “saare jahan se Achha, Hindustan

Hamara”.

But all that was history- A remarkable one. What now?

After the successful launch of Chandrayan-3 and Aditya L1 mission- the first space based mission to study the Sun. Aditya L1 aims to study the solar upper atmospheric Chromosphere.

Upcoming Projects

ISRO is gearing up with a number of upcoming missions to lead in the space sector. Starting with XPOSAT Polarimetry Exploration ISRO plans to study Cosmic Radiations along with leading fifty brightest sourced in this Universe including areas of study such as Black Hole, SuperNova, Pulsars, X-Ray binaries, Active Galactic Nuclei, and non-thermal SuperNova remnants.

Ganganyan Mission:- A project that proposes demonstration of Human Spaceflight, with the capability of launching a crew of 3 members to an orbit of 400 kms. For a 3-day mission and bring them back safely to Earth by landing them in Indian Sea water.

Commencement of this Mission will establish India as the strongest player in the space sector

Also by 2028, you might get to hear that India has its very own International Space Station.

? Apart from that India’s Venus Mission Shukrayan-1 (unofficial name)might get launched in

2031.(Tentative dates). This Mission aims to study the surface and atmosphere of Venus.

? Launch of Mangalyaan 2 & 3 to study the surface of Mars. A second Mission to Mars. It will be an interplanetary mission by ISRO.

? ISRO collaborates with JAXA (Japan Aerospace center). For India’s next Moon Mission for Lunar Polar Exploration Mission (LUPEX).

? Aiming to explore the polar region of the moon.

? NISAR-: NASA & ISRO NASA-ISRO SAR, a Low Earth Orbit observatory, is being jointly developed by NASA and ISRO. It plans to study the changes in Earth’s ecosystems, ice mass, vegetation biomass, sea level rise, ground water and natural hazards including earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanoes and landslides. By mapping the entire globe in 12 days, NISAR will provide the information related to study the changes in the Earth’s Ecosystem.

? SPADEX-: Space Docking Experiment is a spacecraft mission to develop technologies related to orbital docking and formation flying. The aim is to show autonomous docking during the mission.

We should keep in mind that all the achievements and upcoming plans would never have been realized without the phenomenal Brains of so many Indian Scientists such as Dr. U.R. Rao, APJ Abdul Kalam, Homi J Bhabha, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai and many more.
