BJP Releases its Manifesto Sankalp Patra Promises Uniform Civil Code

On Sunday, April 14, PM Modi launched the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto, “Sankalp Patra,” for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

With PM Modi running for a record-breaking third term, the BJP has set a goal of 370 party seats and 400 for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). On April 19, the seven-phase Lok Sabha Election 2024 will get underway, and on June 4, the results will be declared.

Here are some of the key promises made by the saffron party:

·       The BJP promises to step up infrastructural growth along the borders with China, Myanmar and Pakistan. According to the document, all fenced segments will be introduced with smart technological solutions.

·       It is guaranteed by the BJP that India will become world’s third largest economic power. It refers to their raising Bharat from 11th biggest economy to the 5th in ten years due to appropriate policies, focused execution and meticulous planning as an accomplishment.

·       To enforcing CAA it has been committed by its manifesto.

·       From the best traditions and modernizing them, to guarantee equal rights for women, Uniform Civil Code shall be established drawing upon this source of knowledge.

·       The party has promised One Nation, One Election theory would soon become a reality.” PM Modi said that there is a committee formed for simultaneous elections review; actions will be taken by the party based on recommendations of this committee.

 

·       Such institutions include IITs, IIMs and AIIMS which BJP pledges to strengthen through targeted funding, capacity enhancement activities such as infrastructure development and research grants.The BJP promises free ration for 80 crore citizens for the next five years under the PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.

 

·       The manifesto includes free electricity for impoverished households through the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.

 

·       The party vows to develop infrastructure such as women's hostels and creches near industrial and commercial hubs to boost women's workforce participation. It also plans to expand health services focusing on preventing and reducing Anaemia, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, and Osteoporosis.

 

·       The BJP commits to implementing the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam to ensure women's representation in Parliament and State Legislatures.

 

·       The Ayushman Bharat scheme will be expanded to cover all senior citizens, offering them free and quality healthcare.

 

·       The BJP promises periodic increases in Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. It highlights the annual financial assistance of Rs 6,000 under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and reiterates its commitment to sustained financial backing for farmers.

 

·       Lastly, the BJP pledges to include auto, taxi, truck drivers, and others in all social security schemes.
