Kangana Ranaut was reportedly slapped by a female personnel of the Central
Industrial Security Force (CISF) at Chandigarh airport on Thursday, according
to sources from HT.

Sources revealed that the
MP-elect from Mandi was slapped during a security check after allegedly pushing
the security personnel when she refused to place her phone in the tray.
Following the incident, Kangana Ranaut departed for Delhi at 3 pm on a Vistara
flight.

A senior CISF officer
reported that the woman constable involved in slapping BJP leader and actor
Kangana Ranaut has been suspended. Additionally, a complaint has been filed
against her at the local police station for an FIR in relation to the incident
at Chandigarh airport.

Statement
The CISF constable who allegedly
slapped Kangana Ranaut stated that her mother was among the farmers
participating in a sit-in protest against the now-repealed farm laws. She
claimed that Kangana had made a derogatory remark about the farmers, saying,
"She (Kangana) stated that the farmers are sitting there for ?100. Will
she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she gave
this statement..."

In a video message, Kangana
Ranaut described what occurred at Chandigarh airport. “I am receiving numerous
phone calls from the media and my well-wishers. Firstly, I am safe and
perfectly fine. The incident at Chandigarh airport happened during the security
check. After completing the security check, a CISF security staff member from
the second cabin came up to me, hit me on the face, and began abusing me. When
I questioned her actions, she claimed she supports the farmers' protest. While
I am safe, I am concerned about the rising terrorism and extremism in Punjab,”
she stated.

The attack on Kangana
Ranaut comes shortly after her victory in the Lok Sabha elections from Mandi in
Himachal Pradesh. The National Award-winning actor defeated her Congress rival,
Vikramaditya Singh, by a margin of 74,755 votes, as per the Election Commission
website.

Kangana Ranaut has been a
vocal supporter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has endorsed his
government's policies, including the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in 2019-20 and
